Milos Beach, Levkas, Grekand

Milos Beach is a beautiful beach situated over the headland immediately to the south of Agios Nikitas Village.  The footpath to the beach begins behind one of the tavernas on the main street.  It is steep and takes about 20 minutes.  Parts of the path above the beach are slippery and at one point you have to climb down some rocks, so this not for people who have difficulty walking,  They are building a road to the beach, but it has a long way to go still.  At the top of the path is an abandoned windmill and spectacular views.

An alternative way to get to the beach in the summer is to take one of the taxi boats from the seafront in the village.

The beach is sandy/shingly, more pebbly towards the southern end, and steeply shelving.  It catches the sun all day from mid-morning.  No facilities, so bring water and food.

The southern end is quieter and dress restrictions are more 'relaxed'.
