Porto Katsiki Beach, Levkas, Griechenland

One of the most famous beaches on Lefkas, Porto Katsiki is situated at the extreme southern end of the West Coast.  The road to Porto Katsiki has been tarmaced in the last few years and is now easily accessible.

Car parking is provided at the top of the cliffs, and here during the summer season you will find caravans selling drinks and snacks.

Access to Porto Katsiki Beach is via about 80 steps down the cliff.  The beach catches the sun during the afternoon.

A small earth tremor and subsequent landslide caused a large section of cliff to fall onto the beach in early 1999.  Nobody was on the beach at the time.  However, if you are going to lie on this beach it would be advisable not to lie directly under the cliffs!

This is a popular tourist beach and can get crowded during the summer
