Windmills can be found on many parts of Lefkas Island,
but most can be seen on the West and North coasts, and in the mountains above
Eglouvi Village - for obvious reasons as these are the windiest parts of the
Island and closest to the source of grain.
Most of the windmills have fallen derelict over the
years, but some renovation work is now being carried on, especially to those
windmills to the north of Lefkas Town.
